This guy is a Moron. He bet his wife that he could pay at least one of his bills by auctioning off a six pack of coke. First of all you have to auction off something totally worthless, like a bottle cap or a strand of hair, so that people really feel like they are pissing their money away. No one wants to feel like they are getting something for their rediculous sum of money!
Secondly, the whole trick where you ask people to bid just to help you win a bet really only works once in a while, and usually because some hot girl is asking for the help. Then when you bid you can imagine that this hot girl is going to appreciate your help! If you are just some joe shmoe, asking for help with your bills people don't care. Then you are just another worthy cause. People would much rather say they funded a drunken college party than say that they paid your bills! |
